Bear-baiting A shorthand for the father's situation is to describe him as the bear in a bear-baiting exercise. He has two options;
Our
cultural values teach us men that we must do all in our power to protect
our children. However, since secret courts continuously assert that fathers
CAN NOT BE GIVEN POWER to protect their children, fathers who are taken
to court need to re-evaluate their options.
This is where Retreat comes into play. When his situation appears hopeless, the victim will writes a brief written summary of his situation. In his own words, he shows that as things stand, his status as a father is not viable. Inexorably, the courts and other agents will squeeze his fatherl8y role dowhn to nothing, as they have done to more than half of divorcing fathers. Extreme measures are called for. Validation
This is where Retreat comes into play. When his
situation appears hopeless, the victim will give a brief written summary
of his situation to Retreat.
The plan is that the victim should supply his short summary of the case, plus Retreat's recommendations, to judges, social workers etc. involved in his divorce and associated matters. Retreat will not be democratic. Rather, the names and backgrounds of those who make up the validating group in Retreat may be made available.
